I realized just recently that we did mention we were traveling to Egypt this year...well, we were traveling to Egypt this year. After the political unrest hit Cairo (our first stop on the planned trip) we decided it would be better for all to skip a visit to Egypt this year and plan something else. With less than 3 weeks until our departure, we decided on the Southern coast of Portugal and the area known as the Algarve. While the weather will not be quite as sunny and warm as Cairo or the Red Sea resort of Sharm el Sheikh, at least our destination is fairly warmer than England and the political climate is much calmer than the middle east. Will let you know how we like the area.
